Credo by Margaret Bonds – New Arrangement for organ, brass and timpani

Margaret Bonds composed Credo first as a cantata for Solo voices, SATB chorus and piano. She soon expanded the colors of the accompaniment of the work and composed her version for voices and orchestra. We are pleased to offer an arrangement for a smaller contingent of instruments, making it possible for organizations with space and budget considerations to program Credo within a more reachable budget.

This new arrangement of Credo for solo voices, SATB chorus, organ, brass and timpani is available as a digital edition. The edition includes the full score and parts (organ, horn in F, trumpets I/II, trombone, tuba and timpani). Directors wishing to program this work should purchase the piano/vocal scores (492-00228) for their chorus, along with the digital edition of this arrangement.

This arrangement is based on Dr. Michael Cooper’s editions of Credo. Many thanks to Allan Laiño, Artistic Director of the Congressional Chorus for collaborating with us and bringing his arrangement to Hildegard Publishing. Laiño premiered the arrangement in Washington DC with the Congressional Chorus in March 2022.

This new version is now available as a digital edition! Order now and receive the score/parts immediately on completion of your purchase.
