In this exciting work for violin and piano Magaly Ruiz combines the rhythms and styles of traditional Cuban music with the standard classical forms and contemporary harmonic language. Ruiz takes advantage of the full resources and capabilities of both the piano and violin to create a true musical dialogue. The premiere performance was given at the Havana Festival in 2001.
