Stefania de Kenessey (b. 1956)
Stefania de Kenessey was born in Budapest and is a resident of the New York area. She was educated at Yale and Princeton Universities, receiving her doctorate under the tutelage of Milton Babbitt. She is a Professor of Music at the New School University in New York City. Kenessey's music has been performed in more than 35 countries, from Australia to Venezuela. Her output ranges from choral, vocal and operatic pieces to chamber and orchestral work, as well as scores for documentary films, theater and dance companies.
