Hildegard Publishing is excited to release this collection of dances for solo piano published under the title “Three Cotton Dances.” Florence Price wrote numerous works for piano solo in a wide variety of genres – among them numerous nostalgic reflections on life in the South, including Dance of the Cotton Blossoms and the virtuosic Cotton Dance [II].
Edited by John Michael Cooper, noted scholar of works of Florence Price as well as Margaret Bonds, this publication marks the first stand-alone publication of Price’s work by Hildegard. Further editions of Price’s music are planned for the future.
