Evensong and its partner work Shift are secular works that set texts by Mary Virginia Micka.
Evensong can be performed with organ or piano accompaniment.
Both works were commissioned and premiered in 2007 by WomanVoice – a concert of music for women’s voices by women composers. The premier was conducted by Patricia C. Connors with Charles Parson, organist.
