Clara Mathilde Faisst

Clara Mathilde Faisst's life is not well-documented. Born in Karlsruhe, Germany she studied composition with Max Bruch and was a concert pianist. Faisst's compositions include a four-movement Sonata for violin and piano, opus 14 (published by Simrock in 1912), piano pieces, songs, choral music, and the two pieces, Adagio Consolante, opus 7, # 1 and Allegretto Grazioso, opus 7,# 2, for cello and piano, originally published by Simrock in 1902 and now available also through Hildegard.
